The story of Prophet Khidr and The Three Trials

The story of Prophet Khidr and Prophet Musa is narrated in Surah Al-Kahf (Chapter 18) of the Quran.

Prophet Khidr is believed to be a righteous servant of Allah, appointed to guide and assist Prophet Musa on his journey.

During their Journey Prophet Musa asked Khidr to teach him some of his knowledge, and Khidr agreed, but warned Prophet Musa that he would not be able to bear the trials and mysteries that Khidr would reveal to him.

The Three Trials

Prophet Khidr and Prophet Musa initiated their  journey together, during which Prophet Khidr performed three actions that seems  Mysterious and even wrong to Musa:

1.The Damaged Boat

Khidr damaged a boat belonging to poor people. Musa was shocked, but Khidr explained that a king was taking boats by force. By damaging the boat, Khidr saved it from being seized. This trial teaches us to trust Allah's plan. Khidr's actions seemed wrong, but they were actually a blessing.

2. The Killed Boy

The second trial was Prophet Khidr killed a young boy. Musa (AS) was horrified, but Khidr explained that the boy would have caused harm to his righteous parents. By killing the boy, Khidr saved the parents from future pain. This trial teaches us about fate and Allah's will. Khidr's actions seemed cruel, but they were actually a mercy.

3.The Repaired Wall

Musa (AS) was still confused but continued to follow Khidr. As they entered a town, they came across a wall that was about to collapse. Khidr repaired the wall, but the people in that town were ungrateful and unwelcoming.Musa (AS) asked Khidr why he had bothered to repair the wall for such ungrateful people. Khidr explained that Under the wall was a treasure belonging to two orphan boys. The wall was the only thing protecting the treasure, and by repairing it, Khidr had ensured that the boys would inherit their rightful wealth.

Through these three trials, Musa (AS) learned valuable lessons about trusting in Allah's wisdom, understanding fate and destiny.Prophet Khidr was a good servant of Allah. He had special knowledge and wisdom that he used to help others.

Each time, Musa (AS) questioned Khidr's actions, and each time, Khidr (AS) explained the wisdom and justice behind his actions, revealing the deeper meaning and purpose of his actions.Prophet Khidr is often revered in Islamic tradition as a symbol of spiritual guidance, wisdom, and selflessness.
